TRIP TO RISHIKESH, HARIDWAR, DEHRADUN AND MUSSOORIE.

Welcome to the first blog of global avengers. Thru this blog we
are going to share details of our trip to Uttarakhand from Mumbai., So here
we go
|
|
|
First of all I am very thank ful to Mr Dinesh Tiwari from
Rishikesh who has helped us to explore rishikesh and dev prayag to the best.
|
|
|
I would also like to thanks Mr Gajendra from Mussoorie - We have
enjoyed a lot his company and mussoorie & dehradun seight seeing was
awesome.
|
|
|

|
DAY 1 : We started our trip from Bandra Terminus Station on 15-Oct at
4:35pm to Delhi ( Hazrat Nizamuddin Station) thru Garib Rath Train cost
Approx 1100 Per Person.

|
|
We were group of six guys ( Me Vikas, Shankar,Mahesh, Amey, Jitu
& Praveen)
|
|
|
The Kick start of our tour was awesome - Enjoyed a lot on the
way towards delhi.Finally we reached Hazrat Nizamuddin Station in the Morning
at 9:40 am…. Time to get Freshen up
|
|
|
Nearby station there are
many guest house we opted Janta Guest House for a Small Nap and to get
Freshen Up - He Charged 400 for two rooms for 2hrs.
|
|
|
Breakfast time with Aloo Paratha,Dal Makhani and Lassi
|
|
|
Now time to move to our first Spot India Gate- Remember whenever
we travel in delhi by Auto/Taxi do bargaining with them
|
|
|
H. Nizamuddin to India gate 80 Rs., Good Place to Visit India
Gate feels Great Salute to Our Soldiers -- The Guardians of our country

|
Time to move from India Gate to Red Fort
|
|
|
The Red Fort was the residence of the Mughal emperor of India
for nearly 200 years, until 1857. It is located in the centre of Delhi and
houses a number of museums. In addition to accommodating the emperors and
their households, it was the ceremonial and political centre of Mughal
government and the setting for events critically impacting the region.
|
|
|
Constructed in 1648 by the fifth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as
the palace of his fortified capital Shahjahanabad, the Red Fort is named for
its massive enclosing walls of red sandstone and is adjacent to the older
Salimgarh Fort, built by Islam Shah Suri in 1546.

|
Nearby the red fort is Chandini Chowk Market good place to
see and lot of things to buy and Eat.
|
|
|
Time to Catch train from Delhi Sarai Rohilla to haridwar at 9:30 ( Mussorie Expresss Ticket Cost 230
Per Person)
|
|
|
DAY 2 : We got down at haridwar Station in the morning at 6 am, There is
a bus depot nearby station
|
|
|
There are many buses for rishikesh ticket cost 50 max per person
|
|
|
Don’t go for Any Jeep/taxi as its too costly - govt bus is the
best option as it has less stop's , hassel free and cost less
|
|
|
Total Travel time from
Haridwar to Rishikesh Bus Station is 1 to 1hr 30 Mins
|
|
|
From rishikesh Bus station
you will get share Auto for Rs 30/- PP to Laxman Jhoola
|
|
|
Get down at laxman Jhoola Road and there are various hotel and
Guest house for accomodation at cheap rate
|
|
|
We settle down at Hotel Aryan twin sharing room with double bed
at cost of 900/- day
|
|
|
Next spot was neelkanth
mahadev temple , One of the oldest and very superb place to visit the way to
neelkanth is very scenic and adventerous
|
|
|
You can get jeep for hire at cost of 130/- PP
|
|
|
We Booked the entire jeep for cost of 1300 for six person with
adding neer grah waterfall to our trip.
|
|
|
We visited neelkanth mahadev temple and while returning we went
to the waterfall to relax
|
|
|
Neergrah Waterfall is a superb place to see in Rishikesh you
just cant ignore it, Enjoying maggi at the waterfall site was an amazing
experience
|
|
|
check out the pics ( No Word to describe the beauty), There is
an entry charge for Waterfall by forest dept 20/- PP
 |
|
|
After a great splash at the waterfall we came back to our hotel,
We rested for sometime and then off to laxman Jhoola for evening stroll
   |
|
|
Laxman Jhoola was at a walking distance of 10-15 Mins from our
Hotel
|
|
|
Nice place to see - Lots of temple to see and foreign
tourist,You will get lots of stall for eatout.

|
|
We tried some local food and then off to hotel for Sleep… Good
Night
|
|
|
DAY 3 : Good Morning, Its rafting time now
|
|
|
You will get many option
for rafting in rishikesh as there are lot of vendors, they charge you from
400 to 1000 pp you have to be good in bargaining with them
|
|
|
We booked a rafting tour with Dream Catcher at the price point
of 350 Per person, there vehicle came to our hotel to pick up us and we went
to rafting site
|
|
|
shivpuri, Rafting starts from Shivpuri and ends at Laxman Jhoola
( 16km Raft with Rapid of 3+ Grade)
|
|
|
Rafting in ganga was a superb and mind blowing experience--
Enjoyment was unlimited , A big thanks to Vicky our rafting guide.
|
|
|
After enjoying raftign in ganaga for 2hrs its time to get back
to hotel and have some lunch
|
|
|
We were not tired with rafting and we were ready to move aahead
to explore more of rishikeh.

|
We called up our driver and asked him for trip to Dev Prayag ,
Dev Prayag is 75 to 80km from rishikesh and whole trip cost 2500/- to and Fro
|
|
|
Way to Dev Prayag was really adventerous as you can see deep
valley narrow road and superb driving skill of our driver Mr Dinesh Tiwari ji
|
|
|
You can explore the mountains and magnificant climate of Dev
prayag, Finally after 2hrs of Long drive we reached Dev prayag and we were
stunned with the Scenic view off Two river
|
|
|
Bhagirathi and Alaknanda… One can easily see two different of
color of Sea Water and going ahead they collaid with each other.

|
|
we took gangajal from dev prayag and visited an old temple of
Lord Ram
 |
|
|
While returning back we visited Vashisht Gufa and awesome place
to be, We reached at the time of Aarti and our soul was touched with thr
music and chants
|
|
|
On the highway you will get lots of local product to buy
like Ginger of Mountain this is same ginger as we use in our home
but taste is much better
|
|
|
In the evening we went to rishikesh Market for Dinner at
Rajasthani Hotel -- Food was good and
cost was also less.
|
|
|
DAY 4 : After exploring rishikesh its time to explore Haridwar
|
|
|
Har ki Paur at haridwar is simply divine, We visited 2 temple
chandi devi and Mansa Devi Via ropeway
|
|
|
Rope way cost 300 Rs PP,First we visited mansa devi temple via
ropeway view was aweosme from the top
   |
|
From mansa devi we returned via rope and took another ropeway to
chandi devi this time trip via ropeway was more thrilling
|
|
|
We were at the height of 4000ft above the ground and there was
jungle were you can see many wild animals
|
|
|
Overall trip to chandidevi and Mansa devi was superb a must
visit place in haridward
|
|
|
In the evening we visited Har Ki Paur for Ganga Aarti , the
place was full of crowd with everyone having a small dia in hand for aarti
|
|
|
It seems magical when aarti starts and we just fall in love with
Maa ganga
|
|
|
DAY 5 : Time to Move from haridwar to next destination Mussoorie
|
|
|
We took auto rickshaw to haridwar bus station and from there we
took bus for Dehradun
|
|
|
Ticket cost from Haridwar to Dehradun is 65/- PP
|
|
|
Route from Haridwar to Dehradun is superb bus rides about 60kmph
speed and we reached dehradun in 2hrs
|
|
|
After getting down at dehradun , we went ot dehradun railway
station nearby railway station is small bus depot where we can get bus for
Mussoorie
|
|
|
Private Cab cost 2000 to 3000 from Dehradun to Mussoorie, We
took bus and it cost 45/- Rs PP
|
|
|
Travel via bus to Mussoorie was very sc
 
enic and terryfying, View
of Doon valley is just classy
|
|
|
We booked Hotel Atithi on Mall Road room cost 800 PP, Hotel
Front is facing Mall Road and backside is doon valley.
|
|
|
Time to relax at hotel and enjoy some snack with friends
|
|
|
On Mall Road we can visit Gun Hill Point and Camel Back end
which is at walking distance from Mall Road
|
|
|
Gun hill point is fun place to be, lots of shops and good view
of Doon valley
|
|
|
You can go Gun Hill Point by Ropeway also caust 120pp
|
|
|
DAY 6 : Today we will see some new place in mussoorie like Kempty
falls, Cloud end, George everest, Santoora Mata Mandir and Company Garden
|
|
|
All this sites can be vsisited by hiring a Taxi for full day at
cost of 3000/-
|
|
|
rates are fixed you cant negotiate and there is no other option
available for local seight seeing
|
|
|
All the place mentioned above are great to watch for- Paisa
Vasool.

|
|
DAY 7 : We have decided to explore some more spots in mussoorie like
Eco Park , Dhanolti and Kanthal..These place are at higher altitude than
mussorie and is very cold even in day time.
|
|
|
View from ECO park is superb, One can view himalayas mountain
from Dhonlti
|
|
|
In the evening we decided to stroll around Mall road and do some
shoppping.
            |
|
|
DAY 8 : Time to move from mussorie to dehradun, We visited shastradhara
,Tapkeshwar Mandir & Robbers Cave ( Gucchi Pani)
|
|
|
All the three place mentioned above are must watch place if
someone goes to mussoorie or dehradun
|
|
|
Enjoyed to the fullest here, We can get cab from Mussorie for
visiting these place and finally the driver has dropped us at Dehradun
Railway station
|
|
|
Time to catch train for delhi at night 9 pm.
     |
|
|
DAY 9 : Reached delhi in the morning at 9 am and explore a little more
delhi like Qutub Minar and Rail Museum.
|
|
Near Qutub Minar we will get punjabi dhaba for delicious
unlimited food
|
|
|
At 4 pm we have our rajdhani express to mumbai … Great trip
Loved it
